The doors are hinged on one side, they slide up and at that point "unhook" from the panel and may be opened it is a standard cage door with a hinge on 1 side.Door - 9" X 16"Breeding door - 3 1/2" X 5 1/2"When you remove the grates there is a gap but... this cage has a special flaps that hang over the opennings when the trays or grates are removed.
